  2.

  3. How much time should my child be spending on homework?
  4.

The nightly homework is designed to support the content of our classroom learning.  It should take on average 45 minutes of focused time.  Each student is given explicit directions for each assignment and the time frame that is required to complete it.  If your child encounters a problem/question at home that needs further explanation, I will be available to help the following day.

        3.  What are the 'bees' for?

Although it may sound like it, the 'bees' are not in reference to academic grades.  The students are encouraged to do their best, because in order to have a successful year, we must have a successful A'ttitude!'  This reflects in the way we 'Bee' have. Students are acknowledged for positive behavior by receiving paper bees in their 'bee-haven'.  Come visit our classroom to see student constructed definitions of 'good' behavior on our 'bee-haven' wall!
