PACKING LIST:
Please be at the flagpole at Cold Spring School by 5:15 A.M. on
WEDNESDAY, March 19th, with all your gear. Our boat leaves San Pedro at
9:30 A.M., but we must be at the terminal 1 hour early. We will leave
Two Harbors on Friday, March 21st, and return to San Pedro around 3:30
P.M. We will be stopping for dinner on the way home, and we will notify
all families by a phone tree approximately one hour before returning to
CSS. Our estimated time of arrival is between 7:00 and 8:00pm.
ESSENTIAL ITEMS: One change of clothes for each day, items marked with
your name and the given luggage tags with BLACK colored yarn.

______ bath towel, washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste
______ beach towel
______ rain coat or poncho (large plastic bags work)
______ warm sleeping bag (we will be on cots, two per tent)
______ old pair of tennis shoes and one pair of hiking/walking shoes
______ pencil or pen and a book to read
______ a warm jacket or layers of clothing - WARM
______ flashlight
______ trash bags
______ sunscreen
______ chapstick
______ water bottle!
______ DOUBLE LUNCH FOR WEDNESDAY!! (We don't eat until dinner.)
NON-ESSENTIAL ITEMS:
______ sunglasses

______ gloves for underwater work
______ pillow
______ your own diving gear, clearly marked. This is not necessary. CIMI has excellent
diving gear for everyone, but some people like to bring their own.
______ money: only to purchase CIMI items. (t-shirts $15, Long sleeve $17, Sweatshirts
$25, hats $12, beanies $12. A check could be made out to CIMI in lieu
of cash. Additional money is not needed, and students are responsible
for their own funds. We STRONGLY discourage students from buying candy
during the ferry rides.
**All items must be packed in a well-closed container (soft luggage or
duffel bags are best). All luggage must be labeled. Bring only what you
or your child can carry. Pack as lightly as possible. Pillow (if
brining), sleeping bag, and extra shoes in a large extra strong trash
bag or duffel, and other gear in duffel or suitcase is one way to
organize.
**DO NOT BRING: knives, spears (pole or hand), fireworks, televisions,
radios, IPODS, candy, food (other than for WEDNESDAY), toys, electronic
games, surf/boogie boards.
**If you have a question about an item your child wishes to bring,
please call his/her teacher. Our intent is to make this an exciting and
safe experience in the natural world; therefore, the focus will be on
the island and marine environments.
