bog (noun): swamp; an area of wet muddy ground
meager (adjective): limited, inadequate - When Ben was done helping himself to the food, Matt was left with only a meager amount to eat.
sparingly (adverb): to use in limited amounts, or carefully - being careful not to waste or use too much - Matt used his maple syrup sparingly because he wanted it to last. Health experts say to use butter and oil sparingly.
intricately (adverb): complexly, complicatedly -The women from the Beaver tribe wove intricately. (you can also just use intricate if you want)
typhus (noun): an infectious disease
