Dear Parents and Community Members,
Thank you for attending the Cold Spring School Art Fair! A special shout of gratitude to our exceptional Art Teacher, Amber O'Neill, for instilling the love of Art in our children. I love walking into Mrs. O;'Neill's class because I know I will be greeted in the same way she greets her students; with a smile, joy, and love. Mrs. O'Neill has the gift of tapping into each students interest and strength which are essential traits for creating a highly engaging lessons. As a result, the Cold Spring School students produce some of the most beautiful pieces of art. Thank you, Mrs. O'Neill, for blessing the Cold Spring School community with your inner and outer beauty!
In addition, I want to thank the classroom teachers for working in collaboration with Mrs. O'Neill to create a standards based thematic display of art in each classrooms. I also want to thank our parent club president, Zoe Copus, and many parent volunteers for providing the art enrichment activities for our students, including the popular edible art contest. A special shout our to our family winner, the Finster Family for winning first place in the family division and Grace Pattison, fifth grade student, for winning the Individual contest.
Thank you for supporting the Arts in Education financially and through your volunteer time to the school. We are a great example of how an exceptional education for children can occur when a genuine collaborative approach to teaching and learning is prioritized.
