Enhancing Your Child's Student Achievement

As we continue to strive for academic excellence, I want to emphasize the vital role that consistent school attendance plays in your child's education. Regular attendance is crucial for uninterrupted learning and progress, and we greatly appreciate your support in this matter.

We've observed a significant pattern in our recent January benchmark data for Reading and Math. The data reveals a clear correlation between frequent absences and struggles to meet grade-level expectations, particularly in mathematics. This trend underscores the challenges faced by students in catching up after missing school. It's a demanding task for both the students and their teachers.

Moreover, absences not only affect the individual student but also have a ripple effect in the classroom. When teachers allocate substantial time to help absent students catch up, it can inadvertently limit opportunities for their peers. This balancing act is a complex one and can impact the overall learning environment.

I want to highlight that our highest-achieving students are often those who maintain regular attendance. Their consistent presence in the classroom contributes significantly to their academic success and sets a positive example for their peers.

I understand that absences can be unavoidable at times. However, I encourage you to schedule vacations and non-urgent appointments outside of school hours wherever possible. This proactive approach will greatly benefit your child's learning journey and support our teachers' efforts in providing quality education to every student.

Thank you for your attention to this important aspect of your child's education. Your collaboration and understanding are invaluable in fostering a conducive learning environment for all our students.
