Dear Cold Spring Families, Teachers, and Community,
Today was one of those days that reminds me just how special our school truly is. I had the joy of watching our students dance to music on the playground, sing songs of kindness, build beautiful flowers of kindness, and sharing them with one another. It was a simple but powerful reminder of the love and joy that radiates across our campus.
I watched our incredible teachers and staff pour their hearts into their work, not just through instruction, but by modeling what it means to care, to be compassionate, and to lead with kindness. It’s in these moments that the true magic of Cold Spring comes alive.
During lunch, our chorus students filled the air with music as they practiced their songs in preparation for their upcoming performance at Knott’s Berry Farm. Their voices lifted our spirits and brought such joy to the afternoon.
Then, to top off such a meaningful day, I returned to my office to find a beautiful and deeply touching gift of appreciation from a parent who was once displaced by the Malibu fires. The gift included framed pictures from the camp we offered to students during the time of the Franklin Fire, images that capture the warmth, care, and resilience of our community during such a difficult time. These photos are a reminder of the strength and generosity that define us. I've attached the images to this message so you can experience the same heartfelt appreciation that I did.
What a day it’s been! A day filled with music, kindness, connection, and love.
Thank you, each of you, for the role you play in creating such an extraordinary place for our children to learn and grow. Together, we’ve built something truly special.
With gratitude and joy,
Dr. Amy Alzina
