Music, Milestones, and More at Cold Spring School

Dear Cold Spring Families,

This week marked a joyful milestone as our Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students began their first full day of instruction! Their excitement and energy were wonderful to see as they settled into their classrooms and routines.

Yesterday, we held a robust Parent Club meeting, where families came together in support of our school community. Your involvement makes such a difference, and we are so grateful for your partnership.

Another highlight this week was a special visit from the Santa Barbara County Office of Education, who came to film our outstanding music teacher, Sara Di'Salvo. Next month, she will be honored as the 2026 Santa Barbara Bowl Performing Arts Teacher of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of her creativity, dedication, and the joy she brings to our students through music.

Meanwhile, our teachers continue to collaborate and design robust lessons that challenge, inspire, and support every learner. Their dedication to innovation and excellence is at the heart of Cold Spring.

As parents, we know you are navigating important questions around technology, AI, social media, movies, and more in your children’s lives. A resource we highly recommend is Common Sense Media. This trusted site provides practical tips and guidance for families in today’s digital age.

As we wrap up our fourth week of school, I want to thank you again for your continued support and partnership. Together, we are building a vibrant and caring learning community for our children.

Warmly,

Dr. Alzina
