SUPERINTENDENT'S WEEKLY NEWSLETTER

Congratulations Mathematicians!

Congratulations to the fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade Math Super Bowl teams for their outstanding achievements! Placing 4th in the combined overall grade levels category is a remarkable accomplishment.

I'd also like to acknowledge the individual achievements of the top students who took home medals:

  • Harrison Barlow, who secured 2nd Place Overall in the Fourth Grade Division.

  • Wyatt Carlson, who earned 3rd Place Overall in the Fourth Grade Division.

  • Beck Bergakker, who achieved 4th Place Overall in the Fifth Grade Division.

These students have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in their math abilities.

Furthermore, each grade level team excelled within their respective divisions:

  • The Fourth-grade team secured an impressive 3rd place in their grade level.

  • The Fifth-grade team earned a commendable 5th place in their grade level.

  • The Sixth-grade team achieved an outstanding 4th place in their grade level and an impressive 2nd place in the Team Build competition.

Such accomplishments highlight the hard work and determination of the students, teachers, and parents involved. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the dedicated classroom teachers for their extra time and effort in supporting the success of the students.

Congratulations once again to the students, teachers, and parents for their exceptional achievements in the Math Super Bowl. Well done, and keep up the fantastic work!

Last Day for Dolphin Center: Tuesday, June 6th

The last day Dolphin Center will be available is Tuesday, June 6th. Dolphin Center is closed on Beach Day or the Last Day of School.

All School Beach Day: Wednesday, June 7th

All School Beach Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7th. We invite you to join us at Summerland Beach for a day of fun under the sun (and occasional fog). We will be setting up camp at Lookout Park, which is located at the top. Please note that parking is limited, so plan accordingly.

To ensure the well-being of your children, please apply sunscreen on them before they arrive at school. It is also important to pack a snack and an ample supply of water for your child, as no food will be provided until lunch at 11:30 AM.

Rest assured, county lifeguards will be present to supervise the water area, ensuring a safe environment for the students.

Parents are welcome to attend the event; however, please remember that if you bring your child's siblings, you will be responsible for their supervision during Beach Day.

Transportation is an essential consideration. Please drop off your child at school by 8:25 am, as parent volunteers will be transporting students from school to the beach and back. It is crucial to remember your child's booster seat, as California law requires children to ride in a booster seat (or harnessed car seat) until they reach 8 years old or 4'9" in height. Ensure that you adhere to the manufacturer's minimum and maximum size requirements for the booster seat.

If you plan to take your child home from the beach yourself, it is imperative that you sign them out with their teacher, following the same procedure as you would at the school office. No other children will be allowed to go home with parents unless prior arrangements have been made for this trip. We greatly appreciate your support in strictly following these procedures to prioritize safety when taking numerous students off-campus.

We hope you have a fantastic time at All School Beach Day!
