sing
Dear Cold Spring School Families and Community Members,

We’re off to a wonderful week at Cold Spring! Our Fall Sing, held yesterday and today, filled the campus with music, smiles, and school spirit. A heartfelt thank-you to our incredible music teacher, Sarah Di'Salvo, for her leadership, creativity, and passion that brought this joyful tradition to life.

As we look ahead, here are a few important reminders and upcoming events:

🎃 Halloween Fun This Friday

Students are welcome to wear their costumes to school on Friday, and we encourage everyone to participate in our Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest! We can’t wait to see your creative designs on display.

🏡 Community Events

Be sure to check out the information below about the YMCA’s upcoming community event, a great way to connect and celebrate the season together.

Daylight Saving Time Ends

Don’t forget to “fall back” this Sunday, November 2! Set your clocks back one hour before you head to bed on Saturday night.

☕️ Principal’s Coffee - Tuesday, November 4

Please join me for our next Principal’s Coffee featuring Joe Isaacson, Special Education Coordinator with the Santa Barbara County Office of Education. Joe will share practical strategies for de-escalating children during moments of anger and fight-or-flight reactions, a timely and valuable discussion for all parents. Enjoy coffee and scones from Jeannine’s while connecting with fellow families.

📅 Report Cards & Parent Conferences

It’s hard to believe our first trimester is coming to a close! Teachers will post parent-student-teacher conference sign-ups on Monday, November 3 at 9:00 a.m. Please mark your calendars and reserve a time that works best for your family.

As always, thank you for your ongoing support, teamwork, and enthusiasm that make Cold Spring such a special place to learn and grow.

With gratitude and Dolphin pride,

Dr. Amy Alzina
