Dear Cold Spring Families,

I hope you all enjoyed the four-day weekend! It was wonderful seeing everyone back on campus today, and I loved seeing so many students and families out at Run Club before school; what an energizing way to start our week together.

A quick reminder that tomorrow evening we are hosting a Movie Night for the Montecito Association, featuring the film Freebirds. Due to the expected rain, we will gather inside the auditorium. This is a family event (not a drop-off event), so please plan to stay and enjoy the movie with your child(ren). Bring a blanket, pillows, or anything cozy to create your own family movie spot—no chairs will be provided.

We also have Makeup Picture Day on November 14th, followed by Parent-Teacher Conference Week, and of course our beloved Turkey Trot Run on Friday, November 21st, where students will get to chase the Westmont College students around the soccer field—a tradition we all look forward to!

Finally, I want to give a huge shout-out to Viaan Srivastava, our 4th-grade student who took 1st place in the Academic Chess Tournament. Congratulations, Viana! We are so proud of you.

We are off to a fantastic start this month. I am grateful every day for our incredible Cold Spring community, and I look forward to finishing this next week and a half strong as we head into Thanksgiving break.

Warmly,

Dr. Alzina

make up picture dayAs a reminder, students absent on picture day will have their photos taken during the makeup session.

Any students who were present, but whose parent's wish to have a new photo taken must contact the school office by Thursday, November 13th to ensure their child will be on the list for retakes.

parent teacher conferences

Due to parent teacher conferences, all students will be dismissed after lunch at 12:15 PM the week of Monday, November 17th - Friday, November 21st.

Dolphin Center will be available immediately after dismissal the week of conferences from 12:15 PM - 5:30 PM.

A few important Dolphin Center notes during conference week:

  • Snack time will occur at its usual time, so please pack an extra snack for your child(ren)

If you plan to bring your child(ren) with you to your parent-teacher conferences, they must either be signed into Dolphin or accompany you to the conference itself. Children cannot be unsupervised on campus.

Student Council & Unity Shoppe Food Drive!

food drive

food driveCold Spring's Student Council is partnering with the Unity Shoppe to support local families in need this holiday season.

From now until the end of November, Cold Spring's is collecting non-perishable food items to donate. See below for some suggestions.

Students can drop off their contributions in their grade designated collection box. The grade level that collects the most items will earn a pizza party!
