Dear Cold Spring Families,
We truly kicked off this week with excitement, and my heart is so full.
On Monday morning, our Cold Spring students were welcomed to campus by the incredible Westmont College students, greeting them with high-fives and smiles before the school day even began. What a joyful way to start the week! That energy carried right into our third-grade student assembly, where students proudly presented on Franklin Covey’s Habit 3: Put First Things First—a wonderful reminder for us all.
This week, I’ve also had the great joy of spending time in classrooms conducting teacher observations and then turning those observations into short videos to share back with teachers and classroom parents. Honestly, this is one of my favorite parts of my job—it’s my principal hat. Watching our teachers thoughtfully design lessons and truly strive to create personalized learning experiences for every child is inspiring. Each and every one of our teachers is exceptional, and these observations only reinforce what a truly special team we have here at Cold Spring School.
As we approach winter break, I want to share how deeply grateful I am. Grateful for our students, our teachers, our staff—and for you, our incredible parent community. Together, we truly have created a school filled with magic, where children are supported, celebrated, and inspired every day.
Thank you for walking alongside us and being such an important part of the Cold Spring team. 💙
With gratitude,
Dr. Alzina
