Dear Cold Spring Families,
Thank you again to all of our incredible dads who hosted such a fantastic Pancake Breakfast for our community! What a special morning. The laughter, the smiles, and the delicious pancakes made it such a joyful way to gather together. We are so grateful for the time, care, and love you pour into our school.
As we look ahead, this is a reminder that there is no school this Friday or Monday in honor of the Presidents’ Day holiday. We have a four-day weekend ahead. I hope you enjoy this time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday!
Below you’ll see highlights from some of our recent events, including our Read-A-Thon. Thank you to everyone who supported this important fundraiser. What I love most about this event isn’t just the funds raised; it’s the way our students leave excited about reading and genuinely hungry to read more. That enthusiasm for books and learning is exactly what we hope to inspire.
In other exciting news, our summer camps filled up incredibly fast. I believe in about five minutes! We are thrilled by the enthusiasm. I know many of you noticed that kindergarten currently has just one week of camp, while other grade levels have three weeks. Please know that I am exploring something very special. Today, I had the opportunity to meet with the creator and producer of Rugrats, who now lives locally in Solvang. We are in conversations about possibly offering a creative writing and short-film production experience for our kindergarten camp students. It’s still in the planning stages as we fine-tune the details, including the teacher and structure of the class, but it’s sounding very promising! I should know by next week if this will be a go. If so, I will send out a separate sign-up for what could be a very fun “Rugrats Adventure Camp.”
