Spelling Bee Champions
Congratulations to Graham MacPhail and Cara Snodgrass, our Cold Spring School Spelling Bee champions! They will represent Cold Spring at the SBCEO Spelling Bee in the coming weeks. Way to go, Graham and Cara!
Yearbook Cover Contest (New This Year!)
We’re doing something unique this year. Students are designing our yearbook cover! If your child would like to participate, submissions are due April 7. Contest details are included below.
No School: Monday, March 2 (Professional Learning Day)
There is no school on Monday, March 2, as our teachers will be engaged in a professional learning day with our Leader in Me coach and trainer, Denise Rapa. We’ll be focusing on Franklin Covey’s 7 Habits, continuing to strengthen our practice, and planning engaging Habit-based learning experiences for students.
Principal’s Coffee: Tuesday, March 3
Please join me for Principal’s Coffee on Tuesday, March 3. I’ll share an update on what we’re doing with Leader in Me at Cold Spring and how we’re bringing the 7 Habits to life on campus. All are welcome!
Read Across America Day (Celebrating Tuesday, March 3)
National Read Across America Day is officially on Monday, March 2, but since we’re not in session, we’ll celebrate on Tuesday, March 3. If you can, please send a photo of your child reading to the office. We’d love to feature student readers in our next newsletter!

Yearbook Cover Design Contest
Calling all student artists! We are hosting a Yearbook front and back cover design contest for the 4th-6th graders.
Submit an original design that reflects our school spirit and what the school means to you. Turn in your hand drawn artwork with your name and grade to your class teacher by April 7.
Please indicate whether it is for the front cover or the back cover. You can submit a design for one or both.
We are looking forward to your creative submissions!
