Today, we are celebrating the incredible creativity, innovation, and heart of our Cold Spring students and teachers!

Congratulations to our Cold Spring Sewing Club, made up of our talented 5th and 6th grade students, for winning First Place and a Blue Ribbon at the Santa Barbara Fair for their beautiful Peace Quilt Project. This after-school project, led by our amazing second-grade teacher Sarah Shaupeter, and innovation teacher, Ryan Francisco, brought together student creativity, sewing skills, math, design, and collaboration into one meaningful community quilt.

We are also so proud of our 4th grade students, who earned the “Discover California” Award for their California S.T.E.A.M. maps created with our incredible innovation teacher Ryan Francisco, and fourth-grade teacher, Elizabeth Gomez. Students brought California’s national parks, landforms, circuits, Chumash-inspired artwork, Adobe Express designs, and AI-supported creativity together in one powerful hands-on learning experience.

On this Teacher Appreciation Day, I could not be more grateful for the Cold Spring teachers who create these award-winning, unforgettable experiences for our students. Our teachers don’t just teach lessons; they inspire creativity, innovation, confidence, and joy.

Congratulations to our students and teachers! We are so proud of you! 🏆🧵💡🗺️
