Dear Cold Spring Families,

There is so much happening at Cold Spring! Please take a few minutes to review the information below for this week’s updates and upcoming activities.

One favorite tradition you won’t find listed below is my morning recess scavenger hunt, happening all next week! Each day, I’ll leave clues around campus that lead to a hidden treasure. Whoever finds the treasure gets to keep it, and each treasure offers a hint about my Halloween costume for our Friday, October 30 dress-up day! Our younger students will head out to morning recess about five minutes early to give them a little extra time to search. I always look forward to the excitement, teamwork, and creative guesses this tradition inspires!

We also have so much to celebrate following the release of our state rankings. I am incredibly proud of our hardworking students and the extraordinary teachers and staff who support them every day. Tomorrow, I’ll be teaching a lesson in sixth grade to support our students’ project-based learning, and I can’t wait to spend that time learning and creating alongside them.

That spirit of collaboration is part of what makes Cold Spring so special. Our entire team works together to give every child an exceptional education filled with challenge, creativity, connection, and joy. Seeing our students thrive is the greatest reward.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for being part of this wonderful community!

With gratitude,

Dr. Alzina
