Kindergarten through Sixth Grade Spring Sing Success

Much gratitude to Sara Di’Salvo, music teacher, for doing an exceptional job preparing our students for the Spring Sing. Thank you for attending their performance and supporting their efforts!

Third Through Sixth Grade CAASPP Testing

All third through sixth-grade students will be taking the CAASPP assessment beginning Monday, May 9 through Tuesday, May 24th. Please make sure your child comes prepared to do their best by getting a good night's sleep the night before and eating a nutritious breakfast.

4th-6th Grade Spring Sing

Date: Friday, May 6th
Time: 9am-10am

Art Fair and Early Dismissal: Thursday, May 12, 5:00 PM-7 PM

Come celebrate the students' artwork and the end of the year open house with the annual Art Fair! All of the classrooms will be open to walk-through from 5:00 PM-6:00 PM. Bring a picnic and enjoy music from the Jason Campbell Band from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM on the playground.
Early Dismissal for the Art Fair
Kindergarten: 12:30pm
1st - 6th Grades: 12:45pm
Very Important Note: Dolphin Center is available after dismissal but will close early at 4:00 pm due to the Art Fair. Because the Art Fair set up will be happening between dismissal and 5 pm, we ask that the Dolphin Center is reserved for working families that are unable to pick up their child at the early dismissal time. Thank you for your cooperation!

All School Beach Day: Wednesday, June 1st

The Annual School Beach Day is Wednesday, June 1st. Teachers will be sending out information including a request for volunteer parent drivers/chaperones and a permission slip for student participation. This is a fun event for our students and a great way to celebrate their year of hard work! More information coming soon...

Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th - No School

School is closed on Monday, May 30th to celebrate Memorial Day.

Walk Montecito Neighborhood Trail Meeting: May 10th, 9:30 AM-11 AM

Ground Breaking Ceremony for New Classroom Building: May 18, 2022, 12:15 PM

On May 3, 2022, the Governing Board approved a contractor for the construction of the new two-classroom building project. The Community Facilities Task Force members interviewed construction firms on Friday, April 29, 2022, and ranked Edwards Construction Group as the top-ranking firm for the project. The District and ECG will conduct a pre-construction review of the plans and site conditions prior to commencing construction. The District will host a schoolwide groundbreaking ceremony on May 18, 2022, at 12:15 PM to celebrate the start of this project that has been in the planning for over 15 years. We welcome our families to join us!

805 Youth Track and Field Championships: Sunday, May 8th at 8:45 AM

Registration must be RECEIVED NO LATER than Wednesday, May 4th. Registration on race day will be charged a late fee of $5. The track meet is open to all boys and girls in Santa Barbara County (grades 1 through 8) regardless of whether they attend public or private schools or are home-schooled. Scholarships are available. The cost is $15 per athlete for early registration. $20 at the gate on the day of Meet. All checks should be made payable to Club West Inc.
