Safety Week at Cold Spring School

Over the past few weeks, Mr. Calderon and I have been meeting with staff to review our safety protocols:  Lockout, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter.  We utilize the “Crisis Go” app which immediately alerts staff when an emergency is taking place.  It also allows us to lockdown the entire school with one button.  Our comprehensive 100-page Safety Plan – reviewed and approved annually by our Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department – in the office.

The Montecito Fire Department is coming to Cold Spring School on Monday, October 3rd to present to the students about Fire Prevention and Safety. There will be a fire engine on campus with a group of firefighters. We are looking forward to this presentation!  As a reminder, we have a Vaping Prevention presentation on Tuesday, October 4th at 8:30AM for parents.  Lastly, we have registered the school to participate in the Great Shake Out earthquake drill on October 20 and 10:20AM.
